James Crowson is the founder of Crowson Law Group, a personal injury firm with offices in Anchorage and Wasilla, Alaska. He represents Alaskans injured through someone else’s negligence, with much of his work involving car crashes and slip-and-fall or trip-and-fall injuries.
Crowson grew up in a small North Carolina town and earned degrees in biochemistry and zoology at North Carolina State University before going to law school at the University of Georgia. He started his career defending insurance companies and health care providers in negligence cases, then moved to representing injured people. He relocated to Alaska in 2010 and later founded his firm. According to the firm, he has recovered more than $100 million for clients, and his reported results include a $4.4 million slip-and-fall settlement, a $3 million premises liability settlement and a $2 million policy-limits medical malpractice settlement.
Crowson wrote Right Turns Only, a guide for accident victims, and has been recognized by Newsweek. He supports the YMCA, the Boys and Girls Club and animal shelters in Anchorage and the Mat-Su area, and he has coached high school football at East, Dimond and Wasilla high schools.
