Shannon L. Clark is a shareholder at Gallagher & Kennedy, P.A. in Phoenix, Arizona, where he co-chairs the firm’s Plaintiff’s Personal Injury & Wrongful Death group. He handles cases arising from motor vehicle and commercial trucking crashes, aviation disasters, defective products, medical and professional negligence, elder abuse and insurance bad faith, for clients in Arizona and many other states.

Across a career of more than two decades, Clark’s cases have produced over $350 million in verdicts, awards and settlements, and his litigation has contributed to voluntary recalls of five defective products. His reported results include a $17 million recovery for a mother whose adopted son died in a commercial trucking crash and a $10 million settlement for a pedestrian struck by a police vehicle. He served on the plaintiffs’ leadership committee and trial team in the Bard IVC filter mass tort litigation and has argued before the Arizona Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit.

Clark earned his J.D. with honors from Duke University in 1999, where he was a note editor of the Duke Law Journal and a member of the Order of the Coif, after graduating from Cornell University. He clerked for Judge Mary M. Schroeder of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and later taught as an adjunct professor. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, serves on the Arizona Association for Justice board and the firm’s board of directors, also offers mediation and arbitration services, and speaks Spanish.
