Michael Avanesian

Michael Avanesian is the founder of Avian Law Group, a personal injury firm with offices in Glendale, California, and other cities in California, Arizona, Nevada and Texas. The firm represents people hurt in car, rideshare, commercial vehicle and construction accidents, along with wrongful death, fire damage and dog bite claims, and it also handles probate and estate planning matters.

Before opening his own firm, Avanesian was a partner at JT Legal Group, where he led the expansion of its personal injury practice. His work at Avian also includes partnership disputes, real estate fraud, contested probate and trust contests. Super Lawyers recognized him as a Rising Star from 2015 to 2021.

Avanesian holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in mathematics from California State University, Los Angeles, and earned his law degree with honors from Southwestern Law School. He has taught mathematics as an adjunct professor at Cal State LA and East Los Angeles College, was named to the U.S. District Court’s pro bono honor roll, and has volunteered with Public Counsel helping self-represented filers with bankruptcy.
