Mary Lee Caruso is a senior partner at Wilshire Law Firm in Los Angeles, California, with more than 25 years of civil litigation experience. Her practice centers on personal injury, and she is especially known for representing survivors of sexual assault and abuse. She also handles catastrophic injury, wrongful death, vehicle and pedestrian crashes, premises liability, elder abuse and employment matters, and has recovered more than $175 million for clients.
Caruso came to law after three decades in corporate management in human resources and accounting, where she saw injured workers denied care and sometimes punished for making claims. She earned her law degree from Abraham Lincoln University School of Law in Glendale and is admitted in California state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Eastern Districts of California.
CAALA named her its Rising Star of the Year in 2021, and Super Lawyers listed her as a Rising Star each year from 2016 through 2022. She is a member of CAALA, the Consumer Attorneys of California, the American Association for Justice, the Society of Women Trial Lawyers and the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, and an honorary board member of Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities. Outside the office she works in stained glass and theater.
