Don C. Keenan is a trial attorney with The Keenan Law Firm who has spent four decades on catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, with a focus on children injured through medical negligence, products liability and premises liability. The firm maintains offices in Atlanta, Georgia, and on Florida’s Emerald Coast.

According to the firm, Keenan has secured more than 381 verdicts and settlements over $1 million, including 15 over $10 million and one over $100 million, and has handled cases in 47 states and on three continents. He describes his approach as the One-Third Solution: one-third litigating the case, one-third public awareness about prevention and one-third pushing for regulations and legislation.

Keenan handled the Kathy Jo Taylor case, which the firm describes as the first in U.S. history to establish due process rights for foster children, and the case of Terrell Peterson, an abused foster child. He became the youngest national president of the American Board of Trial Advocates in 1992 and national president of the Inner Circle of Advocates in 1997. The State Bar of Georgia gave him the Chief Justice Award for Civility and Professionalism in 1999.
