Jeffrey S. Kowalski is a workers’ compensation attorney with Montlick Injury Attorneys in Atlanta, Georgia. Since joining the firm in 2008, he has concentrated on helping injured workers secure the benefits, medical treatment and income support they are owed, often in disputes with insurers that limit or deny claims.
Licensed in Georgia since 2003, Kowalski is admitted to the state’s courts and to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia. He started his legal career in intellectual property and patent prosecution, later led a litigation team, and earlier represented insurance companies in defense matters, a background that informs how he anticipates insurer strategy.
Before law, he worked as an electrical controls engineer, designing and programming robots and automated systems after earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Lawrence Technological University in 1994. He received his law degree in 2002 from what is now the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, where he took part in the Legal Practice Clinic. He has been named to The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 and the Workers’ Compensation Top 25, and he volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.
