Rob Hartigan

Rob Hartigan is a plaintiff personal injury lawyer and the founder of Lionhart Injury Law, a boutique injury firm with offices in Atlanta and Boston. He represents injured people in cases involving traumatic brain injury, motor vehicle and truck collisions, and premises liability, and keeps a selective caseload built around close client contact.

Hartigan grew up understanding injury from the family’s side. A year or two before he was born, his mother was hit by a drunk driver and suffered a traumatic brain injury at 28, spending time in a coma and relearning to walk and talk; the settlement never came close to covering what she lost. He set out to represent people harmed through no fault of their own.

He attended Suffolk University Law School, enrolling in 2012 and moving into the evening program so he could clerk at a personal injury firm by day. He passed the bar and began practicing in 2016. Once drawn toward entertainment law — he is a guitar player who spent his twenties in Boston cover bands and interned in artist management in Nashville — he found his real pull was injury work.

He gives every client his cell phone number, a practice he can sustain because he runs a boutique rather than a volume shop and is selective about the cases he takes. He credits client referrals as the truest measure of his work, and draws on his years on stage for the confidence to tell a client’s story to a jury.

His cases bear that out. He represented a family rear-ended by a commercial truck whose infant suffered a brain injury, obtaining the available policy limits, and carried a premises liability case that resolved shortly before trial for a client who had become homeless during the litigation and used the recovery to buy a home.
