J. Charles “Charlie” Hepworth is a partner at Hepworth Holzer in Boise, Idaho, where he represents injured people in medical malpractice, product liability, aviation, wrongful death and motor vehicle cases. He has practiced trial law in Idaho since 1983.
Hepworth earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Stanford University in 1978 and a law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1981. He was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in 1983.
His results include a $7.55 million wrongful death verdict in 2001 against St. Luke’s Hospital and a $6.15 million medical error wrongful death verdict in 2006. He also negotiated a $5 million medical malpractice settlement in 2014 and a $2 million wrongful death settlement in 2015.
The Idaho Trial Lawyers Association named Hepworth its 2022 Trial Lawyer of the Year with the James J. May Award. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and, according to the firm, Idaho’s only member of the Inner Circle of Advocates. He has been named to the Top 10 Mountain States Super Lawyers list for 2022 through 2025.
