    Todd S. Schafer is a personal injury trial lawyer at Schafer & Schafer Injury Attorneys in Merrillville, Indiana. He represents injured people and families in cases involving truck accidents, brain injuries, wrongful death and other serious injuries.

    The son of founding partner Timothy Schafer, he began trying cases early in his career. At age 30 he served as lead counsel in a case that resulted in a $32.5 million jury verdict for a young mother who suffered catastrophic brain injuries in a collision involving a semi-truck. According to his firm biography, his verdicts have placed him among the nation’s Top 100 Jury Verdicts three times.

    Schafer was invited to join the Inner Circle of Advocates at age 39. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 2007 and his J.D. from Valparaiso University in 2010, and he is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and the Lake County Bar Association.
