Melody R. Dickson is a partner at Wagstaff & Cartmell, LLP in Kansas City, Missouri. Her practice combines complex commercial litigation with catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases, including claims arising from tractor-trailer crashes and violations of federal motor carrier safety rules.

On the commercial side, Dickson has pursued claims for deceptive trade practices, investment fraud, RICO and False Claims Act violations, and insurance bad faith. She helped a certified nationwide class of more than 140,000 merchants secure an $84 million settlement over a credit card processor’s overbilling, and she serves on the plaintiffs’ executive steering committee in the insulin pricing MDL in the District of New Jersey.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Barristers, the UMKC Law Review and the National Moot Court Team. Ingram’s and The National Trial Lawyers have each named her to their Top 40 Under 40 lists, and she has been a Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2016.
