Eric D. Holland is the owner and a partner of the Holland Law Firm in St. Louis, Missouri. He tries railroad and transportation injury cases, mass torts, class actions and other complex litigation, representing injured railroad workers, cancer victims and families of people catastrophically hurt, along with business and government clients. He also takes an active role in the firm’s FELA practice for rail and maritime workers.

Holland’s results include a $4.69 billion verdict for 22 cancer victims in litigation over asbestos in talc, and in 2005 he won a $17 million FELA verdict, which the firm describes as the first eight-figure FELA jury verdict in the country. He served as co-lead counsel in the settlement of the Remington Walker Fire Control litigation, which provided replacement triggers for affected rifles, and he has held lead counsel, steering committee and executive committee roles in mass tort and class action cases in state and federal courts.

Raised in Illinois in a construction-trades family, Holland earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and attended Saint Louis University School of Law, where he served on the law review. He serves on the executive committee of The National Trial Lawyers and was elected president of its Top 10 Railroad Accident Lawyers group. He has received St. Louis’ Quality of Life Award and his law school’s Excellence in Pro Bono Award.
