Aside from my family, I am most proud of being a trial lawyer and advocate for the injured.

Steven Benvenisti is a partner at Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C. in Teaneck, New Jersey, and is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. With more than 30 years of injury practice, he represents people hurt in car, truck, motorcycle and pedestrian crashes, construction accidents, falls on unsafe property and product failures, and he leads the firm’s Traumatic Brain Injury Section and its Drunk Driver Accident Litigation Section.

His path to the law began when a repeat drunk driver struck him as a 21-year-old college student, leaving him hospitalized for more than six months with fractures, a brain injury and 15 surgeries. He later told that story in his book, Spring Break, and has spoken about it at conferences in the United States and Europe. He graduated with high honors from The College of New Jersey, earned his law degree at Quinnipiac University School of Law and clerked for Judge Eugene Austin of the Superior Court of New Jersey. He was admitted in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in 1993 and speaks Spanish and English.

Benvenisti has served as president of the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey since 2019, chairs the New York-New Jersey-Pennsylvania region of Mothers Against Drunk Driving and previously was vice chair of MADD’s national board. The New Jersey Association for Justice gave him its Gold Medal for Distinguished Service in 2019. His recent results include a $5.1 million settlement in 2025 for a pedestrian seriously injured in Weehawken.
