    Jay D. Jacobson is a partner at Jacobson Law, a plaintiff’s personal injury firm with offices in Bohemia and Garden City, New York. He practices personal injury and wrongful death law and has been admitted to the New York State bar since 1994.

    Jacobson graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1993 and holds a B.S. in political science from the State University of New York at Albany. Before law school he worked as a private investigator in Suffolk County, assisting attorneys who defended injury cases. He began practicing in downtown Manhattan in 1994, opened his own firm in 1998 and later joined Foley, Griffin & Jacobson.

    His cases have involved automobile and bus crashes, construction and scaffolding falls, premises and negligent security claims, and medical negligence. He is vice chairman of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Plaintiff’s Roundtable Committee and is a member of Trial Lawyers Care, which represents families of those killed in the September 11 attacks.
