Thomas A. Moore is a senior partner at Kramer, Dillof, Livingston & Moore, LLP (KDLM) in New York, where he represents plaintiffs in medical malpractice and general negligence cases. He serves clients in the five boroughs of New York City, Long Island and Westchester County.

His firm biography says he has won 95 trials with verdicts above $1 million and negotiated settlements exceeding $1 billion. The National Law Journal named him Lawyer of the Year twice, and in 2014 American Legal Media’s Medical Malpractice Hall of Fame included four of his cases among its top 25, two of them the second- and third-largest verdicts in New York history. Verdicts credited to him on the firm’s site include $130 million in a Suffolk County birth injury case, $78 million in a trucking wrongful death case and $45.2 million for a woman struck by a shopping cart thrown from a fourth-floor walkway.

Moore was raised in Waterford, Ireland, and came to the United States at age 17. He earned a Licentiate in Sacred Theology from Catholic University in Washington, D.C., in 1968 and his J.D. from Fordham Law School in 1972. He has funded scholarships at Fordham Law and endowed a chair in Trial Advocacy there, and received Fordham University’s Founder’s Award in 2014.

He writes a regular column for the New York Law Journal with partner Matthew Gaier, and the two have authored textbooks on medical malpractice and trial practice. Moore is a member of the Inner Circle of Advocates, a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and a member of the International Society of Barristers.
