Richard Godshall is the owner, managing partner and lead trial attorney of Ostroff Godshall Injury and Accident Lawyers, which lists its office in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. He handles catastrophic injury cases, including serious car and trucking crashes, construction site injuries, premises liability claims and medical malpractice. Although he owns the firm, he hands off daily management so that his time goes to preparing and trying cases.

Godshall started his career on the defense side, representing corporations and insurers, and became the youngest partner at a regional defense firm of more than 100 lawyers. He moved to plaintiff work after his father, a union carpenter, was disabled in a fall at work and the family struggled to find a lawyer willing to take the case. He says that experience, together with his years evaluating claims for insurers, shapes how he builds cases for trial.

His bio credits him with a $21 million jury award for people hurt in a bus crash and a $7.5 million verdict in a contested medical malpractice case, as well as several verdicts far above pretrial offers. He earned his law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he received the Barrister Award for trial advocacy, and his undergraduate degree from LaSalle University. He is admitted in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Outside the office he is a former CrossFit gym owner who competes in HYROX races.
