Colin Burke is a partner at Kline & Specter in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, representing people and families harmed by workplace accidents, medical malpractice, car and truck crashes, dram shop violations and unsafe property conditions. A Philadelphia native, he joined the firm in February 2015.

His recent recoveries include $10 million for an elderly woman who lost a leg after being knocked down by a bus, $8 million for the family of a union construction worker whose bacterial infection went undiagnosed, and $7.5 million in a wrongful death case involving an improperly secured wheelchair. In 2023 he was co-lead counsel in a $19 million verdict, including $15 million in punitive damages, against a Delaware County nursing home and its management companies. Earlier, he was co-counsel on an $11 million verdict against the Devereux Foundation for a man shot by a teenager who had left its juvenile treatment facility.

Before entering private practice, Burke spent five years as a prosecutor in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he tried 20 major felony jury cases on his own, and then worked at a firm representing union members. He earned his undergraduate degree at Catholic University of America and his law degree from Widener University School of Law, finishing in two and a half years while working to pay tuition. He belongs to the Brehon Law Society and the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, received the Philadelphia Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Craig M. Perry Service Award in 2017, and serves on the boards of Archbishop Ryan High School and the Glen Ford Conservation Corporation.
