Mike Bottaro

Mike Bottaro is the founding partner and owner of The Bottaro Law Firm, LLC in Providence, Rhode Island. He represents injured people in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, handling car, truck, motorcycle and bicycle crashes, slip-and-fall claims and wrongful death cases, and he is licensed in both states’ state and federal courts.

Bottaro decided on law school while in college, after reading a book by a New England lawyer about taking on large corporations on behalf of sick children and later meeting its author. He graduated cum laude from Boston College and earned his law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law, where he was president of the moot court team. He then clerked for the Colorado Court of Appeals. In one case described on the firm’s site, he secured a $150,000 settlement for a woman injured by a Lyft driver in East Providence.

He serves on the board of the Rhode Island Association for Justice and holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. The National Trial Lawyers has named him to its Top 40 Under 40 and Top 100 lists. He has written on safety issues for the Providence Journal and appeared as a legal correspondent on The Rhode Show, and he founded the firm’s Bottaro Gives Back charitable program.
