    Les Weisbrod is a Dallas trial lawyer at Miller Weisbrod Olesky who represents patients and families in medical malpractice and medical product liability cases. He is board certified in personal injury trial law and civil trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

    Weisbrod has served as president, president-elect, vice president, secretary, treasurer and parliamentarian of the American Association for Justice, formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. In 1991, he was co-founding chair of the association’s Birth Trauma Litigation group. He has lectured to lawyer groups in the United States, Canada, England and Australia and has written on medical malpractice and medical product topics.

    His firm’s published biography states that since May 1986 he has tried or settled more than 204 medical malpractice and medical product cases that each resulted in a verdict or settlement of $1 million or more. In August 2014, he obtained a summary jury trial verdict of $3.7 million in Dallas County Court at Law No. 1 for a 79-year-old client, including $2 million in punitive damages.

    Weisbrod received his bachelor’s degree from Claremont McKenna College in 1975 and his law degree from Southern Methodist University in 1978. He is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for medical malpractice law and product liability litigation on behalf of plaintiffs.
