"People call me when something terrible has happened and they need help. It is personal to my clients, so it is personal to me. We have to win—no matter what."

Jason Itkin is a founding partner of Arnold & Itkin LLP in Houston, Texas, where he represents injured people in personal injury, maritime, product liability, wrongful death and mass tort cases.

According to the firm’s profile, Itkin has secured several of the largest jury verdicts in U.S. history, including an $8 billion verdict against Johnson & Johnson, a $2.25 billion verdict against Monsanto and an $860 million wrongful death verdict in Texas. He has represented clients in all 50 states, and more than 200 other law firms have retained him as trial counsel, the firm says.

Itkin earned a bachelor’s degree with special honors and a law degree with honors from the University of Texas. He is licensed in Texas and Pennsylvania and admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court and the Second and Fifth Circuit courts of appeals.

He was selected to the Inner Circle of Advocates before age 40 and was named vice president and president-elect of the organization in 2024. Best Lawyers named him Lawyer of the Year for admiralty and maritime law for 2027 and for mass tort litigation and class actions on behalf of plaintiffs for 2025.
