    She moved to Houston to attend Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University, where she also graduated summa cum laude and was on the Dean’s List throughout law school. She served on the Thurgood Marshall Law Review and on the leadership boards of the Barbara C. Jordan Chapter of the Black Law Students Association and the Student Bar Association.
