    Omar Chawdhary is a partner at Kherkher Garcia LLP in Houston, Texas. He represents individuals and families seriously injured or bereaved through negligence, with a practice focused on trucking and 18-wheeler collisions, oilfield accidents and explosions, workplace injuries and wrongful death cases across Texas.

    Chawdhary has tried 13 cases to verdict and has appeared before juries, judges and arbitrators in Houston, Dallas, Alice, Las Vegas and Tucson. His firm biography says he has helped secure hundreds of millions of dollars for clients. He was part of a trial team that obtained a $55 million settlement and was lead counsel in cases that resolved for $10 million, about $11.8 million, $8 million and $7.5 million. In March 2023, he and co-counsel won a $1,975,000 verdict in Villatoro v. Texas Outlaw Recovery Wrecker Services in Harris County.

    A Houston native, Chawdhary earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009 and a law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2012. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas that year. He moved his practice to personal injury law in 2014 and joined Kherkher Garcia in April 2022. In July 2016, he attended the Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming.

    He has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star every year since 2017 and has been selected three times to the Top 100 Up-and-Coming Attorneys in Texas list. He serves on the boards of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Houston Trial Lawyers Association.
