Patricia E. Anderson is a trial lawyer with Luvera Law Firm in Seattle, Washington, where she has practiced since 1997. She represents people seriously injured and families of those killed in rail disasters, construction failures, defective product cases and vehicle and pedestrian crashes.

Much of her trial work has been in partnership with David Beninger. Together they won a verdict of more than $10 million in federal court in Tacoma for a passenger hurt in the 2017 Amtrak derailment near DuPont, and they represented the family of Alan Justad in the trial over the 2019 South Lake Union crane collapse, which ended in a $150 million verdict. They also secured a $40 million settlement for people on the ground injured in the KOMO helicopter crash, after five weeks of trial, and successfully defended a $38.25 million verdict for a bicyclist on appeal. With Ed Fisher of Provost Umphrey, she obtained a verdict of more than $10 million against Genie Industries over a dangerously designed manlift.

Anderson earned her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Whitworth College and her law degree with honors from Seattle University School of Law in 1987. She is a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College, where she now teaches, and also teaches trial advocacy with Justice Advocacy Africa. She serves on the Amicus Foundation Board of the Washington State Association for Justice and has held leadership roles with the Denny Creek Neighborhood Alliance and Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center.
