David Leonardo “D.L.” Rencher is the founder and managing attorney of Rencher Law Group, P.C., based in San Francisco, California. Originating from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mr. Rencher enlisted in the United States Marine Corps immediately after high school, serving as an Aircraft Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician. During his military tenure, he received the National Service Defense Medal and a commendation for Outstanding Military Service during Operation Desert Storm.
Following his military service, Mr. Rencher pursued higher education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), working as a Trauma Scribe and Telemetry Technician to support his studies. He graduated with honors and continued to the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. At Hastings, he was an active member of the Trial Team, earned the Moot Court Award for “Best Oral Advocate,” and served as a Legal Education Opportunity Program Teaching Assistant, mentoring first-year law students.
Mr. Rencher began his legal career defending healthcare professionals and expanded his practice to represent medical institutions, businesses, and individuals in various legal matters. With over 20 years of diverse litigation experience, he now focuses on personal injury, wrongful death, and elder abuse cases, bringing justice to those harmed by others’ negligence. Notably, in 2020, he secured one of California’s ten largest wrongful death settlements, achieving a high seven-figure settlement for the family of a 69-year-old man killed by a commercial vehicle driver.
