Judge Kenton J. Skarin currently serves on the Illinois 18th Judicial Circuit Court, a trial court of general jurisdiction serving nearly one million residents. He was appointed to the bench by the circuit judges of the 18th Judicial Circuit Court in 2019.
A lifelong resident of DuPage County, Judge Kenton J. Skarin has dedicated his career to enhancing the efficiency and fairness of the judiciary. Graduating first in his class from Northwestern University School of Law in 2009, he went on to clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. He practiced appellate law at Jones Day, an international law firm, before his appointment to the Illinois 18th Judicial Circuit Court in 2019.
